Holding BTC for 14 years! The "Mysterious Whale" turned $120 into $179 million.
The crypto world has never lacked 'get rich quick myths', but recently a 'mysterious Whale' has made 1.5 million times profit over 14 years, writing the most legendary and successful cryptocurrency investment case to date, which can be regarded as the best interpretation of 'HODL spirit (long-term holding)'.
On-chain data shows that this 'mysterious Whale' bought 2,000 BTC for $120 at a price of $0.06 per Bitcoin in 2010, and held them for 14 years without being affected by market fluctuations and emotions. Last week, when the price of BTC reached $90,000, the Whale transferred the batch of BTC, which had appreciated to $179 million, to an exchange to cash out, with a return rate of 150,000,000%.
This transfer transaction was originally shared by cryptocurrency journalist Pete Rizzo on the community platform X. After the post was exposed, it quickly sparked heated discussions and became a crypto world legend.
